Vocal Workshop Deadline Changed

Hello guys! This post is regarding the vocal workshop that will be held on 9th and 10th Oct.

The deadline for signing up has been changed to 4th Oct so grab the chance while you still can!

All who love singing and sincerely want to take singing to a higher level are strongly encouraged to go, even if you are not from the club. To sign up, you can either email us (singing@clubs.sim.edu.sg) at or simply leave a tag on the tagboard here. That's all for now.

2nd Recruitment Drive

IMPORTANT!!

During the 24th-26th September (Mon-Wed), we will be having a recruitment booth at Level 1 SIM HQ BLK B.

This is for 2 purposes:

1) 2nd recruitment drive for the next batch of freshies (Audition to be on 1st Oct)

2) Promote vocal workshop held by Ashton (9th and 10th Oct)

For those who did not get through the 1st recruitment this is the perfect chance to try again! 

Singing is our passion; Esprimere is a club where people can gather together to build on this passion as well as to bond with friends. People who share the same view, don't hestitate to sign up. Never try never know :)

Vocal workshop in October

HEY ALL! Do note that there will be a vocal workshop conducted by one of our instructors Ashton.

Details are as follows:

9th and 10th October (Tues and Wed)

7pm to 9pm

Fee

$10 for 2 lessons. Spread over the 2 days.

Course Structure

· Understanding vocal techniques

Essential for a good vocal foundation, one needs to fully understand and hone their vocal techniques.

· Knowing the resonator of your voice

Get a better understanding and control of your voice, its strength, dynamics and tonal variations.

· Ways to train by yourself with the correct methods

Perfect your singing through practice. Exercises will be taught to help stabilize your singing abilities in the long run.

· Pitch and ear training methods

To be able to identify basic music elements such as pitches and melodies solely by hearing.

· Understanding your vocal range and the song you sing

By the end of the workshop you will be able to have a good grasp of your vocal abilities and songs/styles which are better suited for your voice.

The camp of a blast!

HI ESPRIMEREANS! I am FINALLY updating about the fun and exciting camp that we had. First of all thank you to everyone who came for the camp, hope you guys had fun. For those who did not attend do not fret! There will be more outings to come ;D (and always a next camp in 2013)
